What do machine and plant operators do?
Machine and system operators set up, convert and operate machines and systems in production. They control and monitor the flow of materials and optimise machine utilisation. They are also responsible for the maintenance and servicing of machines and systems. Their work processes are coordinated with the upstream and downstream areas. They select test methods and equipment and decide on materials and suitable production techniques as well as the economical and environmentally friendly use of energy and materials. They carry out process and performance-related calculations and document production data. In short, they ensure that the production process runs smoothly.

With us, you will gain an insight into the varied practice of metal construction: thanks to our high level of vertical integration, you will get to know the wide range from simple mechanical machines to highly automated systems and can look forward to an exciting job in a friendly working environment. The duration of your apprenticeship is 3 years.
You have the following qualifications:
You should be interested in technology, enjoy modern machine, plant and control systems and work responsibly. We expect you to have at least a satisfactory secondary school leaving certificate and in any case a great deal of commitment.
